What to Wear for A Valentine’s Day In or Out

Truthfully, I’ve never been the type to go all out for Valentine’s Day, but I do love any excuse for a date night! Plus, who doesn’t love dressing up to go out to dinner?! Here are some cute outfit ideas if you have a date night planned with your guy or gal-entine.

Once you’ve got the outfit covered, be sure to check out my Valentine’s Day Gift Guides for him & her!

I’m all about a great cut out or off-the-shoulder number and this sweater is kind of the best of both worlds! Love the cut out detail near the shoulder, but also love that it’s still so cozy and practical for these chilly months. Plus, it’s the perfect pop of cherry red that brings me straight from Christmas/NYE to Valentine’s Day, or any weekend to be honest!

Of course I have another off the shoulder piece for you! Are you shocked? Love the delicate lace details and loose fit on this shirt. Another great piece for Valentine’s Day, or any night out. Also, the under $20 price point makes it all the better!

Red is such a great color and I love that this top is a true, cherry red! This top is another great find for under $30. It’s got a great loose fit, bubble sleeves, and a v-neck that’s not too low. I love it with layered gold necklaces and a leopard shoe! (Similar shoe linked here)

This dress is one of those pieces that belongs permanently in my closet. I can see myself wearing this one quite frequently! Aside from V-Day, this dress would also be perfect for bridal or baby showers, or just a regular date night. This small floral print is so cute and I love the colors! Plus, it somehow is the perfect length that manages to be short enough for shorties like myself, yet still a completely appropriate length for the tall girls too. Maybe it’s the ruched waistline that does it? Either way, it’s THE perfect dress!

This every day cashmere sweater is always a great staple to have. It comes in sooo many colors, from neutrals to bright colors. It’s also under $100, which is great for cashmere! I own it in black, camel, and of course this cute pop of pink shade. Also, I love that I can layer it with cardigans, blazers, under scarves, and faux fur vests like this one!

Don’t have a date? Who cares! Hang with your GALentines and open a bottle of red! Those are the best nights anyhow. Especially because you can just cozy up in your comfies. This oversized sweater and pink/rose gold foil leggings are perfect for a night in and are still festive!
